Its around 10 miles away . You can take any type of public transport. If you take the metro feeder bus you can get off at one of 2 metro stations near-by on Sheikh Zayed Road then take the metro to your destination.

I remember when Mall of the Emirates first opened there were a few stores plastered with “coming soon” on their entrance , and many of them stayed like that between 6 months to a year until they officially opened. I suppose because they hire specialized interior designers and decor firms and it takes a long time to put the finishing touches of everything, wait for factory orders to arrive by sea, train the staff, and stock the store the way they want.
