Can anyone tell me what the price of an Ipad2 with 3G and Wifi would be at the Dubai airport?

In Dubai market it sells for approx. 2500 AED , the WIFI only version is 2000 but you get 200 cash back (basically 1800). This price is for the basic 16 GB model.

David asks…

Is there FREE WIFI at Dubai Terminal 3?

I’m taking my laptop with my and I’ll be connecting in Dubai. I have a Mac.
Will I be able to simply switch on my MacBook, connect to an airport in the terminal,
and receive free internet access?

This is urgent. I leave soon.
God Bless anyone who can give me an answer.

From Dubai to London, staying there for a wek?

hey guys,,, I’m living in Dubai and I will spend a week in London visiting a friend and I want your advice:

1- I am taking my Laptop with me, so is there any free WiFi internet at Dubai airport, is it free?

2- Is there any free WiFi connections in London? If not then how to connect to the Internet beside using Internet café.

3- This is my second time visiting London, last time I went to almost all the museums and attractions and don’t know where to go now, anyway I’m looking to buy a suit and friends advised me to go to Horn Brothers in Regent street as they have good garments, are they good? and is there any cheap or moderate price shops with above average clothes quality?

Thanks a lot

admin answers:

1 – Yes, Dubai airport has wi-fi and it’s free. More on Dubai airport here – www.timeintranst.com/airport/dubai/inside-airport

2 – A lot of cafes in London, including the big chains, have free wireless – all you need to do is ask when you go in.

3 – Can’t help on this one!

Lizzie asks…

DUBAI INT AIRPORT
SYDNEY INT AIRPORT
SINGAPORE INT AIRPORT
COALALAMPOUR INT AIRPORT

admin answers:

Check out this web site. It is written by travellers for other travellers. There are honest reviews on hotels and all sorts of other travel related things.

In fact it has information on everything you will need for a trip anywhere!! If you can’t find the answers you want you can post a question (just like on Yahoo Answers) in the forum area of the town/city/country you are interested in. There is often “a local expert ” who will reply sometimes with extremely detailed answers but you will probably have to check out the airports one at a time.

citymax hotel bur dubai and metro station?

i will be staying there at this hotel. one red line metro station is Al Karama located on walking distance from my hotel and also green line metro is Sayeeda and that is also located on walking distance but on a different street.

for example, if i want to reach my hotel destination from terminal 3 airport which is red line metro. will i have to get off at Al karama metro station and then walk?

will there be an announcement for al karama metro station inside the metro?

admin answers:

It is NOT …. Its about 2 KMs from either one and the temperature will be hot so not advisable if you have luggage with you.
The greenline does not come from the airport , you have to transfer from red line to green line for hotels in Bur Dubai area. (get off at Al Fahidi station @ Khalid bin al walid road)

My question is about the Etihad shuttle from Abu Dhabi to Dubai and also especially the return trip.

Does it leave Abu Dhabi airport regularly? Also what is the service like returning Dubai to Abu Dhabi? I assume you have to get from your hotel to Eithad depot? How often does it leave and how long does the trip take? Our flight out is at 10.55 am, so don’t want to miss the flight! If we have to take a taxi, approximately what will it cost?

Phone calls from dubai airport?

I’m travelling to india from US via Dubai. how can i make calls (local and international) from the Dubai airport. Let me know the best way.
how can i use the public phone in airport.

admin answers:

The easiest and most trouble free method is to buy a pre-paid phone card. Once you use up the credits you don’t have to worry about mystery charges and all the other BS phone networks throw at you.

One thing’s for sure, I would not use my roaming cell phone plan, I’ve heard horror stories of $3,000 statements after just a weeks vacation in europe.

I am an India traveling to India via Dubai from US. I have a stop over at Dubai airport for 7 hours and would like to meet a friend in between. What type of visa do I need? Is it possible? I am not using a travel agent in US or a hotel to stop over at Dubai. I just want to get out of immigration to meet my friend and get back to catch the flight.

admin answers:

Ask your travel agent in US to get you a visa… It’s easy now days… In Dubai they issue electronic visa… So you won’t have any problems…

Alternatively ask any hotel in Dubai and they will issue a visa for you immediately… You will probably need to pay for a day or so!!! Which is nothing!!!!

Dubai Hotel Airport

Donald asks…

how much does it cost to stay one night at dubai airport hotel?

i have to stay one night cos my flight is the next day and i don’t want to got out cos i have to have visa and visa costs money.

admin answers:

The hotel inside the terminal itself is expensive at Dhs.1400 per night!!! Check their website to know: http://www.dih-dca.com/dihnew/default.aspx Since you didn’t say your nationality, i cant recommend the second option of going out for a day and stay at one of the hotels close by the airport which is a hell of a lot cheaper. And you can see around Dubai, and even do some shopping for excellent stuff. If you arrive in the afternoon and go only next day, you can even do a desert safari

James asks…

Is there a cheap hotel close to the dubai international airport ?

I have to stay one night in dubai and want to find a hotel close to the airport that is cheap

admin answers:

Hi,

I would recommend Holiday Inn Express Airport Dubai. It is just opposite Dubai Airport Terminal 3. And the hotel price is quite reasonable.

David asks…

What the distance between mall of emirates to millennium airport hotel in Dubai & taxi hiring cost?

admin answers:

It would take you minimum 20 min if there is not traffic…kilometres are not that important, but the traffic congestion can make it very far.

Taxi would cost you more than 35 AED (dirhams)

Helen asks…

hotel near dubai airport?

what is the cheapest hotel near dubai airport?

admin answers:

There are so many hotels in and around airport but most of them very close to airport are expensive ones. I would surely advice you to move towards Nassar Square area so that you can get cheaper hotels and Nassar Square is hardly 7 to 8 kms from airport.

Alternatively you can visit this web site
http://www.dubai-hotels-deals.com which has a list of hotels under different star categories.

Have a great stay !

How to spend time in dubai?

I have a gap of 8 hours in dubai airport. I am flying from Paris to Delhi. I am an Indian citizen. And am flying through business class of Emirates. So I could spend my time in Business lounge of Emirates and obviously sometime in Dubai Tax Free Shopping.

Would it be worth to take a transit visa and then go out of the dubai airport and I have to do all this within 7-8 hours. Any suggestions?

admin answers:

Dear 7-8 hrs are very less to take a transit visa and then go out of the dubai airport , 2 to 3 hrs will go in the traffic b’cose of the diversion everywhere (construction for Metro is in progress ). At least I would not recommend.
Rather I would say 7-8 hrs are less to be in the Airport itself, its huge and very beautiful . U will luv it.
Shop in the duty free , have good food and enjoy! You will never know where the time has gone.
Gd Luck :-) )

What is 12:30pm Eastern Time in Dubai , UAE ?

I’m planning to watch an award show online and I want to know what time is 12:30pm EST in Dubai ?

Thanks :)
12:30pm in the afternoon to be exact.

admin answers:

This website will help you to change each time around the world to the other. Check it:

http://wwp.greenwichmeantime.com/info/timezone.htm

EST is GMT -5
Dubai is GMT +4
so it means that there is 9 hours different, you have to subtract 9 hours from EST to find your time in Dubai. So 12:30 PM EST is 3:30 PM in Dubai.

Ken asks…

Does the dubai time and KSA have difference or it is the same?

admin answers:

I do believe that they are an hour ahead of you, so that means that if it is 7:15 Wednesday morning where you are then it is 8:15 there.

I hope that helps.

Good luck.

I just found a link to a world clock that may help you out.
